Getting Started as a Seller

Welcome to SellStuff. This guide covers everything you need to know to start selling.

Before Your First Listing

Security deposit: Before your first listing goes live, you pay a refundable AED 200 security deposit. This is held while you have active listings and returned in full when you close your account or remove all listings.

Verification: You will need a valid UAE mobile number and email address to create a seller account.

Creating a Great Listing

Photos matter most. Take clear photos of:

Front and back of the item
Any labels or model numbers
The box and accessories if included
Any damage or wear

Max will do the rest — writing your description, suggesting a price and generating a professional cover image.

Setting Your Price

Tell Max the amount you want to receive. We calculate the total buyer price by adding our commission, payment processing and delivery fee on top. You always receive exactly what you asked for.

Set a minimum price (your floor price). Max will negotiate with buyers on your behalf but will never accept an offer below your minimum.

What Happens When Your Item Sells

1. You receive a notification that your item has sold

2. Select a collection time slot in the app

3. Our courier collects the item from your door

4. The buyer receives and inspects the item

5. Payment is released to you within 3-5 business days

Disputes

SellStuff's dispute policy protects buyers. In the rare event of a dispute, the buyer receives a full refund and the item is returned to you. Return delivery costs are deducted from your security deposit.

The best way to avoid disputes is to describe your item accurately and photograph any damage clearly.

Tips for Selling Faster

Upload at least 3 clear photos
Set a competitive price — Max will show you what similar items have sold for
Be accurate about the condition — honest descriptions build trust
Set a reasonable minimum price — this gives Max room to negotiate
