By using sellstuff.ai ("the Platform"), you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in this policy.

2.1 Data You Provide Directly

• UAE mobile number
• Delivery and collection address (building name, apartment, area, emirate)
• Building access instructions
• Account preferences and settings
• Listing content including item descriptions and photographs you upload
• Bank account details for seller payouts
• Identity documents where required for seller verification
• Communications with our support team

2.2 Data We Collect Automatically

• Device type and browser information
• IP address and approximate location
• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Search queries entered on the Platform
• Items viewed, saved and purchased
• Session recordings (see Section 2.3)
• Transaction history
• Filter and sort preferences

2.3 Session Recording

SellStuff uses SmartLook, a session recording and analytics tool, to record user interactions on the Platform. This means we may record your mouse movements, clicks, scrolling behaviour and keystrokes (excluding passwords and payment details) during your sessions on sellstuff.ai. This data is used to improve the Platform's user experience and identify technical issues.

SmartLook data is processed by SmartLook s.r.o. in accordance with their privacy policy. You can learn more at smartlook.com/privacy.

2.4 Transaction and Behavioural Data

We collect data about your buying and selling behaviour including:

• Items purchased, sold and listed
• Price points and category preferences
• Negotiation history
• Delivery and collection preferences
• Dispute history

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data for the following purposes:

• Creating and managing your account — contract performance
• Processing transactions and payments — contract performance
• Arranging collections and deliveries — contract performance

4. Data Profiling and Personalisation

SellStuff uses the data we collect to personalise your experience on the Platform. This includes showing you items relevant to your browsing history, purchase history and stated preferences. This profiling is based entirely on first-party data collected within the Platform.

5. Metadata Retention

SellStuff retains anonymised item and transaction metadata indefinitely. This includes anonymised data such as item category, price range, condition and sale date. Once anonymised, this data cannot be linked back to any individual user and is used for:

• Platform improvement and pricing intelligence
• Market analysis and reporting
• Contacting past buyers about re-selling items they purchased

Personal data (name, email, phone, address) is deleted upon your request in accordance with Section 9.

6. Payment Data

SellStuff processes payments through Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our systems. All payment data is handled by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

7. Identity Verification Data

Where sellers are required to verify their identity, we collect and store a copy of their Emirates ID. These documents are:

• Stored securely and separately from general account data
• Accessible only to authorised SellStuff staff
• Used solely for identity verification and regulatory compliance
• Never shared with buyers or other users

8. Data Sharing

We share your data with the following third parties only where necessary:

• Stripe — payment processing
• YBB Delivery — collection and delivery logistics
• SmartLook — session recording and UX analytics
• Google Analytics — platform usage analytics
• SendGrid — email delivery

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your personal data with advertisers.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. These include:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
• Secure password hashing
• Token-based authentication
• Access controls limiting staff access to personal data
• Regular security reviews

Despite these measures, no data transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

11. Cookies

SellStuff uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Platform and improve your experience. These include:

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect Platform functionality.

12. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a period of 5 years following account closure, unless a longer retention period is required by UAE law.

Transaction records are retained as required for tax, accounting and regulatory purposes.

Anonymised metadata is retained indefinitely as described in Section 5.

13. International Transfers

SellStuff is based in the UAE. Some of our third-party service providers may process your data outside the UAE. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international data transfers.

14. Children

SellStuff is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at info@sellstuff.ai.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. The date at the top of this policy reflects when it was last updated.
